How The Happy Labels At-Home Business Kit Started
My name is Colleen O'Neill and I started Happy Labels as
a work at home business. I never dreamed that our personalized
stationery products were so in demand. I only created Happy
Labels Personalized Stationery as a website for a small amount
of extra income each month. I was not trying to build this
company; I was already working at
home in the medical field. What happened was amazing.
The orders came in, and came in, and came in. Happy Labels
became so successful without even trying to making it work.
Within three months, we could not keep up with the orders.
Our customers were telling their friends and family about our
website, and orders were being placed as a result.
Having a customer service background, I could not let my customers
wait for their orders for more than a few days. For over a
year, there were many nights that I would put my son to bed,
and kiss my husband goodnight, and go back to work until 1am
or 2am to fill the personalized stationery orders. I finally
decided I could not keep doing this.
After many sleepless nights of filling personalized stationery
orders, I made the decision to hire people to create electronic
systems to keep up with the demand for my personalized stationery.
The more of these systems I created, the faster the orders
came in. Happy Labels was becoming so successful, I was forced
to stop marketing for three months. My at home business was
growing faster than I ever thought it would. I realized I would
have to hire more people to keep up.
That is when the idea of the Happy Labels At Home Business
was born. I was a stay at home mom, but wanted to contribute
to my household income. I would go to mom groups and play dates
with other moms and children in the neighborhood. I realized
that so many women were in the same situation. There are so
many women who wanted to contribute to their household income,
while staying home with their children. They were always looking
for some opportunity to work at home. I showed a few women
our personalized stationery to get feedback and ask if Happy
Labels would be a good job for them, to earn their additional
income. They loved it!
The rest is history...
